2017 LA Auto Show Highlights

The Stars of the LA Auto Show

With an event as large as an auto show, it can be difficult to cover every aspect, but we think these 2017 LA Auto Show highlights hit the biggest stars.

• Pop Culture Machines: A Pink Panther mobile with a gloss finish the same color as the famous cartoon character and a VW-Bus-turned-Mystery-Machine (complete with stuffed Scooby Doo copilot) gave the show a lighthearted feel from the start.
• Honda Civic Si: It’s no Civic Type R (presumably coming soon), but the Civic Si has been the performance-oriented option available to stateside Honda drivers. The LA Auto Show introduced the sport-tuned model for the 10th generation Civic, and while the specs are out, they promised the turbocharged four-cylinder would have a boost beyond its normal 174 hp.
• Mini Countryman: The largest Mini on the market (increased nearly 8 inches since the last generation), the Countryman sports a three-cylinder turbo or a 2L four-cylinder with plenty of pep to go with its distinctive British styling.
